drive.web For Systems Integrators and Design Engineers is name of a multi-hour series of courses offered by Bardac.

Here are the course series' outline:

3a) drive.web - System Design Engineering (4 hours)

* drive.web distributed control technology overview
* system design concepts and features
* creating systems online or offline
* basic application software functions - arithmetic and logic programming, basic PID control
* Parameter scaling, ranging, ratioing, inversion
* i/o set up
* Ethernet network configuration
* downloading, uploading, backup and restoring system files
* system documentation and file organization
* Internet connectivity and IP addressing
* system security and network administration
* system safety

3b) Interfacing drive.web to PLCs, operator stations and SCADA systems (4 hours)

* Ethernet connections via ModbusTCP/IP (PLCs, operator stations, etc.)
* RS485 connections via ModbusRTU (PLCs, operator stations, drives, etc.)
* Connecting to Allen Bradley PLCs, etc.
* LAN Modem connections
* Enterprise integration concepts

3c) drive.web - Advanced Application Programming (3 hours)

* fully compensated open loop winder configurations with taper tension
* closed loop winder control with either dancer or loadcell feedback
* PID section control
* cut-to-length applications
* registration control

3d) drive.web - Custom Application Programming

Courses are available to assist users with their specific application engineering requirements. These courses are specially organized and tailored to suit individual customers, their personnel and their applications.
